Randy Crisorio grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and has been active in the automotive industry since 1973. His retail career began with a very large and storied Chevrolet dealership immediately following active duty in the Marine Corps. While rising through the ranks throughout the ’70s, which included relocating to Clearwater, Fla., he was lured away by one of the industry’s most prominent F&I companies. Advancing quickly, he soon assumed responsibility for business development for the Eastern United States through a staff of regional managers.

In 1982, with a solid foundation and a great attitude, he drew upon all of his business experience and stepped up to form UDS, an F&I performance company. Now, more than 36 years later, UDS has assumed a leadership role in F&I performance nationally. Among his professional accomplishments are:

  • Authored the “Unique F&I Selling System — AutoMenu and its Certification Process.”
  • Authored “Complete Five-Day F&I Certification Program.” Authored one of the first F&I ethics and compliance programs in the United States.
  • Authored numerous automotive sales development seminars.
  • Keynote or guest speaker for numerous groups in North America and Europe relating to F&I and front-end dealer- ship operations.
  • Well-versed in automotive related reinsurance applications.
  • Now leads an organization that has been cast as the No. 1 F&I training company in the United States by dealer- ship vote, year after year, since the inception of voting, plus a top-rated F&I compliance training provider the past four years.
  • Served as Agent Summit advisory board chairman 2013–’19.

She was a vice president at Colonnade Advisors from 1999 to 2003. Cocking left Colonnade to gain operating experience as the chief financial officer of Cobalt Finance, a specialty finance company and Healthcare Laundry Systems, a private-equity backed company for which she oversaw the successful sale to a strategic acquirer. Cocking served as the line of business CFO for Consumer Banking and Lending at Discover Financial Services. She received her BA in Economics and MBA from the University of Chicago. In his capacity as an attorney and executive, Paul D. Metrey represents dealer interests before, and educates dealers on regulations promulgated by, federal executive branch agencies that oversee dealer operations.

Metrey is the author and editor of numerous NADA publications, including the NADA/NAMAD/AIADA Model Dealership Voluntary Protection Products Policy and the NADA/NAMAD/AIADA Fair Credit Compliance Policy & Program. He frequently speaks to dealers, Automotive Trade Association executives, dealership compliance professionals, and other industry groups on an array of regulatory topics, including recent federal developments in the areas of credit, privacy, identity theft, telemarketing, and taxation. He is active in several professional organizations and serves on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.

Metrey joined NADA in 2001 as its director of regulatory affairs. He previously served as an attorney with the Federal Emergency Management Agency and as an active duty Army JAG officer, with assignments in Germany, the Netherlands, and Fort Meade, Md. He also served in a reserve capacity as the chief, International Law Branch of the National Guard Bureau’s Legal Support Office. Metrey obtained his JD from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law and a BA from Virginia Tech.

Woods joined ADS in 2012 and has worked extensively on GAP ratemaking, reserving, and forecasting. He led the development of predictive models, which combine Allstate’s private passenger auto insurance claims data with its more than 15 years of GAP underwriting experience. These models profitably directed ADS pricing strategies through the recent years of rising GAP losses.

As a CPA and attorney, Kaseff brings both accounting and legal experience to the areas of taxation, producer-owned insurance, captive insurance, and alternative risk financing. Joe’s history calling on dealers in the Chicagoland area goes back more than 30 years. After graduating from Illinois State University, his introduction into the new car dealer came through an un-likely source: Mike Ditka and the Chicago Bears. Spivak was one of the last guys

cut from the Chicago Bears during their Super Bowl era in the mid ’80 s. He was then recommended by Mike Ditka to join a large automotive wholesale supplier in the Chicagoland area, and the rest was history.

Spivak moved on to form his own agency over 20 years ago and continues to call on new prospects and existing clients every week. He says he truly does enjoy facing the challenges shoulder to shoulder with today’s new car dealer. Spivak’s lifelong philosophy has always been “ACE: Attitude, Character, Enthusiasm,” which he tries to carry into every dealership he visits. He services large dealer groups as well as single-point locations and enjoys providing them solutions that drive customer satisfaction as well as profitability. Spivak feels that we as agents absolutely need to embrace technology and change in our industry while never abandoning some of the basics.

Prior to joining United Development Systems as director of training in 2017, John Tabar has spent the past 30-plus years dedicated to the automotive retail business. He worked for 16 years in the dealership environment before becoming a trainer for a Fortune 300 integrated insurance company, utilizing his dealership experience to train and develop dealership personnel throughout the United States. Tabar went on to become vice president of business development for that same company, working with dealers, dealer groups, third-party administrators, manufacturers and other insurance companies throughout the Americas. Additionally, he enjoyed several years as a partner in a large Harley- Davidson franchise.

Today, Tabar directs all training programs for UDS, which as been ranked for 14 consecutive years as a top F&I training company in America by dealer vote, as well as a top compliance provider. His professional accomplishments include:

• Authored curriculum for variable and fixed dealership operations training in the auto, powersports, and RV industries.

Kerri Walker Lewis serves as the vice president of business development for CalTex. In that role, she is responsible

Lewis started her career in retail automotive after earning a BS
in business and political science from Stephen F. Austin State University. She now has over 25 years of experience in sales team leadership, marketing, and F&I product development. Prior to joining CalTex in 2015, Lewis served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Dent Zone Companies, where she developed and managed relationships with large consolidators, third party administrators and OEMs.

Kevin Graven has been in the auto business for 18 years. His positions have included marketing manager, BDC man- ager, commercial sales manager, new car manager, F&I manager, general sales manager, general manager, account executive, and corporate F&I trainer.

He began his career in the car business as a college intern for marketing in a dealership. Eight years later his retail experience culminated with being a general manager.  He moved on to the F&I agency side of our industry where he has been developing talent and results for the last 10 years.

Kevin believes that the discipline it takes in developing people and processes to be successful in the auto industry can translate amazingly into other industries. In 2012, he tested this theory and opened up two indoor trampoline parks where he used his auto discipline to create two of the highest “net to sales” indoor trampoline parks in the country.
 
After experiencing entrepreneurial success, Kevin and his business partner, Andy Schultz, created the AutoMethod F&I agency. In the last three years, the Retention Performance Method (RPM) that Kevin and Andy use in developing sales and F&I talent has produced fantastic and sustainable results for their dealer partners. This unique approach builds upon the traditional “road to the sale” training by incorporating a stronger base foundation of sales skills and leadership development.

Kevin began his automobile career 30 years ago as a salesperson in Southern California. He has held various management positions in dealerships from Portland, Ore., to Atlanta.

In September of 2000, Jacobs took over as the regional account manager in the Northwest for Allstate Dealer Services on their Nissan Project. Under his leadership,

the region’s average monthly premium more than doubled. He was then promoted to national training manager, where he was responsible for all aspects of agency, dealership and employee Training. In 2011, he founded Alaco Enterprises, a dealership development company that provided training for all departments within the dealership. Jacobs has trained thousands of F&I managers, sales managers, and salespeople across the country.

In March of 2015 Jacobs joined Safe-Guard Products International as national training manager and was eventually promoted to di- rector of training, the position that he holds today. At Safe-Guard, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of training from facilitating the company’s multiday F&I certification courses to working on launching Safe-Guard’s on-demand training portal that will be utilized by all of their partners.

Jacobs has been a featured speaker at industry events for Honda Financial Services, Nissan Motor Acceptance, DealerTrack, Nissan of North America and Hyundai Motor Finance. He was the master of ceremonies at consecutive Vehicle Service Contract Administrators Conferences, the precursor to P&A Leadership Summit, and has participated in Industry Summit as either a presenter or panelist for a number of years.

Lewis Mathews Jr. graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a major in accounting and began developing F&I departments for automobile dealers in 1984. In 1991, he formed Arkansas F&I and has since established himself as the industry expert in the markets he serves. Mathews enjoys building long-term partnerships with his dealer clients, many for 20-plus years.

Arkansas F&I has represented CNA National Warranty Corp. since 1992, and has been recognized twice as CNA National’s Agency
of the Year. Mathews has served on CNAN’s Presidential Advisory Committee for many years.

Matthew Romanowski has spent 22 years in automotive industry. He earned a BA from Towson University in visual communications with a minor in marketing. He worked for 18 years for an automotive group on the eastern shore of Maryland, where he started in sales and marketing.

Throughout his career with the same auto group, Romanowski worked in sales management, business development, finance, parts, and service and body shop. He graduated from the NADA Academy in 2014. In 2012, Romanowski became general man- ager and operations director for the entire organization, which included seven franchises and four rooftops.

He joined IAS in October 2016 as a corporate trainer and Mid- Atlantic sales representative. Romanowski’s strengths are in deal- ership marketing, sales training, leadership training, IAS product and software training, and business development. He currently lives in Salisbury, Md., with his wife and three daughters. In his spare time he enjoys playing beach volleyball, surfing, crabbing, and fishing.

Rick Meinke

Rick Meinke has over 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. He began his career selling cars and quickly advanced to becoming an area man- ager for an industry leading insurance company, who specialized in training and income development. Meinke then moved onto co-founding his own company, Automobile Dealer Services Inc., which was the only company that specialized in sales training with a focus on protective coatings. He helped grow the company to over 357 dealer accounts in nine states. After selling his company, he went back into retail to increase his knowledge and ran multiple Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai franchises.

Eight years ago, Meinke joined ECP Inc., and is now their national sales manager. ECP has served automobile dealers since 1969 and offers a diversified line of products and programs, which include appearance protection/protective coatings and ancillary products for new, pre-driven, and leased vehicles.

Rick Messinger, a partner at Dealer Associates, has been in the automotive industry for 43 years. He started his career in 1973, selling advertising to dealers in Detroit. He then went on to provide sales training programs, and ended up selling exotic cars to the stars at a high line dealership in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Messinger moved to Dallas in 1980, where he met his business partner of 28 years, Tony Fincannon. They started DAI in 1990 and have been recognized with numerous awards over the years. In addition to providing products and training, DAI continues to fo- cus on building wealth for dealers and their employees through reinsurance structures.

Ritch Wheeler began his career in the car business in 1994, selling cars while attending Baylor University. After graduating in 1995, he decided to stay in the automotive industry and build a career that has grown over 25 years. In the dealership he has held the positions of salesperson, finance director, sales manager, and general sales manager.

Wheeler currently works for the award-winning training and development company American Financial & Automotive Services Inc.

Wheeler is married and has three amazing boys, ages 8, 6, and 7 months. In his spare time, he also serves as mayor of his Texas town.

Ryan Williams received his BBA in Automotive Marketing from Northwood University in 1998. Following graduation, he spent six years working on the retail side while pursuing his MBA from Northwood University, which he achieved in 2005. Williams worked for Universal-Underwriters/Zurich Insurance from 2004 to 2009, prior to co-founding Fidelis PPM/ DRIV Technologies. Fidelis/DRIV was sold to CUDL/CU Direct in 2014.

Williams remains with the company as executive vice president of Vero, a subsidiary of CU Direct. Vero, based in Scottsdale AZ, is a product provider/manufacturer to dealers, credit unions, financial institutions and automotive service organizations nationwide.

Tony Troussov is a 20-plus year industry veteran. He spent 15 years in retail, where he held multiple positions, including F&I development manager, director of training, and GM for Walser Automotive Group. Troussov spent six years working for a mid-size general agency as a director of training, where he helped the agency develop their sales process and designed an online training platform that the agency marketed to dealers. In addition, he worked with several OEMs to help them improve processes and the customer experience. Most recently, Troussov was a group F&I director for Morrie’s Automotive Group, driving results within their fourteen rooftops.

In November of last year, Troussov launched his own agency, Mezen Dealer Services LLC. He has delivered over 700 presentations totaling 3,000-plus hours of platform time and is a two-time presenter at the NADA Conference, speaker at CBT Conference, Innovative Dealer Summit, Digital Dealer, and Agent Summit. Troussov is a frequent contributor to Auto Dealer Today and other dealer magazines and has appeared on CBT’s “F&I Today” show. His international work includes speaking and training in Korea, Portugal, and the United Arab Emirates. Troussov is a Certified Coaching Practitioner with the Certified Coaching Federation and a Certified Speaking Professional with National Speakers Association.

Tony Wanderon is the President and CEO of National Auto Care and Family First Dealer Services. He founded FFDS in 2011 and merged it with National Auto Care in 2013. Tony has more than 32 years in the industry as an Agent, Administrator and Executive for a Fortune 50 company and has spearheaded or been involved in four public and private sale transactions of companies he has led.

Throughout his career, Tony has been an innovator and leader in the automotive F&I industry. As the President of a large independent insurance agency and administrator, he established relationships with both major financial institutions and OEMs while pioneering several F&I products including GAP, Trade-In Protection and developed the first successfully integrated dealer-owned Personal Lines Insurance Agency.

Tony has a reputation as a visionary in the industry and is often called upon to speak at industry events, serve on advisory boards, provide expert witness services as well as providing regular insight for automotive F&I industry publications.
